ANIMAL KINGDOM

RED PANDA

The red panda is dwarfed by the black-and-white giant that shares its name. These pandas typically grow to the size of a house cat, though their big, bushy tails add an additional 18 inches (46 centimeters). The pandas use their ringed tails as wraparound blankets in the chilly mountain heights.
The red panda shares the giant panda's rainy, high-altitude forest habitat, but has a wider range. Red pandas live in the mountains of Nepal and northern Myanmar (Burma), as well as in central China.
These animals spend most of their lives in trees and even sleep aloft. When foraging, they are most active at night as well as in the gloaming hours of dusk and dawn.
Red pandas have a taste for bamboo but, unlike their larger relatives, they eat many other foods as well—fruit, acorns, roots, and eggs. Like giant pandas, they have an extended wrist bone that functions almost like a thumb and greatly aids their grip.
They are shy and solitary except when mating. Females give birth in the spring and summer, typically to one to four young. Young red pandas remain in their nests for about 90 days, during which time their mother cares for them. (Males take little or no interest in their offspring.)
The red panda has given scientists taxonomic fits. It has been classified as a relative of the giant panda, and also of the raccoon, with which it shares a ringed tail. Currently, red pandas are considered members of their own unique family—the Ailuridae.
Red pandas are endangered, victims of deforestation. Their natural space is shrinking as more and more forests are destroyed by logging and the spread of agriculture.

MY LOVE SONG OF INDONESIAN

Zamrud Khatulistiwa
Muhammad Guruh Irianto Soekarnoputra

Aku Bahagia Hidup Sejahtera Di Khatulistiwa
Alam Berseri-Seri Bunga Beraneka
Mahligai Rama-Rama, Bertajuk Cahya Jingga
Surya Di Cakrawala

S'lalu Berseri Alam Indah Permai Di Khatulistiwa
Persada Senyum Tawa, Hawa Sejuk Nyaman
Wajah Pagi Rupawan Burung Berkicau Ria
Bermandi Embun Surga

Reff;
Syukur Ke Hadirat Yang Maha Pencipta

Atas Anugerah-Nya Tanah Nirmala

Bersuka Cita, Insan Di Persada Yang Aman Sentosa
Damai Makmur Merdeka Di Setiap Masa
Bersyukurlah Kita Semua
( Bersatulah Kita Semua)

S'lalu Berseri, Alam Indah Permai Di Indonesia
Negeri Tali Jiwa Hawa Sejuk Nyaman
Wajah Pagi Rupawan Burung Berkicau Ria
Bermandi Embun Surga

Bersuka cita, insan di negara yang bebas merdeka
Dukung damai sentosa di setiap masa
Bersatulah kita semua

Aku bahagia
Di khatulistiwa
Aku bahagia

This song popularized by the late Chrismansyah ‘Chrisye’ Rahadi (1949-2007). This lyrics of the song is actually composed by Guruh Soekarnoputra. He is an artist who the youngest son of proclaimer Bung Karno.

From the title of this song, ‘Zamrud Khatulistiwa’ is leading to one of the nicknames for Indonesian state. The term was introduced to the Indonesian’s children since childhood as a country which to be a source of pride.

Why is this song called Zamrud Khatulistiwa? What a reason of author creating this song?

The term of ‘Khatulistiwa’ (equator) refers to an imginary line that includes the locations farthest from both poles of the earth. The term of ‘Zamrud’ (Emerald) is a precious jewel  greenish. It means that  the emeralds are identical with the tropical Indonesian archipelago, full of green trees.  This privileged position becomes evidence of the nickname.  So, from several countries trough the equator, only INDONESIA was SO AMAZING.

Besides, the sun is shining to all the horizon of indonesia make the Indonesian nature so colorful, beautiful, and overgrown by the kinds of flower. Every morning, the Indonesian state was greeted with cool air and melodious birdsong.  The smiles of Indonesian so fresh on the morning with a millios moisture which fell to earth.

LENTICULAR CLOUDS PHENOMENA

Lenticular clouds look like UFOs
Lenticular clouds, technically known as altocumulus standing lenticularis, are stationary lens-shaped clouds that form at high altitudes, normally aligned at right-angles to the wind direction.
Where stable moist air flows over a mountain or a range of mountains, a series of large-scale standing waves may form on the downwind side. Lenticular clouds sometimes form at the crests of these waves. Under certain conditions, long strings of lenticular clouds can form, creating a formation known as a wave cloud.

Power pilots tend to avoid flying near lenticular clouds because of the turbulence of the rotor systems that accompany them, but sailplane pilots actively seek them out. This is because the systems of atmospheric standing waves that cause "lennies" (as they are sometimes familiarly called) also involve large vertical air movements, and the precise location of the rising air mass is fairly easy to predict from the orientation of the clouds.
"Wave lift" of this kind is often very smooth and strong, and enables gliders to soar to remarkable altitudes and great distances. The current gliding world records for both distance (over 3,000km) and altitude (14,938m) were set using such lift.

Lenticular clouds have been mistaken for UFOs (or "visual cover" for UFOs) because these clouds have a characteristic lens appearance and smooth saucer-like shape.
There is also a fascinating print medium called Lenticular Printing.
